I am tired, frustrated, and furious with these books that appear like they’re girl-power, single-woman anthems, and then spend hundreds of pages reinforcing the old saw that a woman is nothing without a man. Nope this book is not for me.
Juli Maybe because I have never really been single, I just found this trite. Tuccillo wrote for Sex and the City, but her females characters here, unfortunately, don’t come close to being as deeply relatable as Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha bw Miranda. It’s messy no matter what, so just shrug your shoulders and go along for the ride.

As a smug coupled person, I can read this and find it slightly humorous. But they certainly aren’t all the horrible, trustless, heartwrenching, relationships this book portrays. And in every country she visits she immediately hooks up with a young swinger who invites her to parties every single night where her friends are able to get a conversation related to her book started.
Her friends that barely know each other in the beginning become her Sex and the City girls. They just oozed desperateness.
Unfortunately, she is not in love with Jim. She was sometimes sarcastic, mostly pessimistic, and always easy to love and identify with.
When he chooses to stay longer with Julie, his wife flies to China to force him home and to tell him that she is pregnant. She confronts them and finds out that they are all happy to share him.
Have I lost myself in my kids? And you’ll ask yourself far too often. What i interpreted to be Tuccillo’s underlying message here: It’s a fun, quick read.
