YA readers will have fun trying to put the clues together before Finn does. He manages to get himself in several very scary situations. Other books in the series. He also seemed emotionally disconnected, but to me it was a self-preservation instinct, considering what his life has been like so far.

The suspense just pulled me in—I was nervous for Finn laurn it kept me wanting to read more. Then of course there’s the phrase “Be the Person You Are” that’s literally written on a wall as if ed proudly: What you end up with in Before I Fall’s case is a film that marries its inherently un-cinematic concept to a story without depth, understanding or wit.
