This skillfully researched book focuses on how a small socio-political American elite seeks to desruction control over the very basis seexs human survival: Their crops have been destroyed, because that’s what this herbicide is engineered to do: The Nazis also aimed big and sought control. Others include grains like rice, corn and wheat; legumes like soybeans and soy products; vegetable oils; soft drinks; ov dressings; vegetables and fruits; dairy products including eggs; meat and other animal products; and even infant formula plus a vast array of hidden additives and ingredients in processed foods like in tomato sauce, endahl cream and peanut butter.

Quite the eye opener about how Monsanto has intertwined themselves with the US government, our food supply and it’s global effect of close to a monopoly on the sale of seeds for crops. The book reads like a murder mystery of an incredible dimension, in which four giant Anglo-American agribusiness conglomerates have no hesitation to use GMO to gain control over our very means of subsistence It cleverly hid “the boldest coup over the destiny of entire nations ever attempted”.
If small Asian chicken farmers can be squeezed out, Tyson and the others can access the huge Asian poultry market. Engdahl explains them as well but goes much further brilliantly in his blockbuster book on this topic. That was all it took, and the major media pounced on it. InJeffrey Smith ‘s Seeds of Deception was published. An important topic and a book worth reading, but it was in desperate need of editing.
Corporate predators and latifundista landholders took full advantage. Engdahl covers pertinent information on the industry that might otherwise have gone unnoticed: It also involved training developing-world agricultural scientists and agronomists in the latest production concepts so they could apply them at home.

Earlier decades of diversity and crop rotation preserved the country’s soil quality, but this changed after soybean monoculture moved in, with its heavy dependence on chemical fertilizers. If current prices stay high and shortages persist, millions will die – maybe by design.
They were the losers so that agribusiness giants could exploit large new markets for their chemicals, machinery and other product inputs. It was a cover for US agricultural interests to engineer the transformation of family farming into global agribusiness, with food the tool and small farmers eliminated so their land could be used most effectively.
