It’s hard to put any Frank Peretti’s book down.
Now, even though I am pro-life, I got sick of “the evils of abortion” rant, but plowed through to finish this book. Overall, I heartily recommend this book for adult readers.
It is easy to get swept away into a world that is lost without realizing it. He’s caught his producer fabricating a story and lying to cover her tracks—and profetta seems to be hiding something much bigger.

This book engaged me so much, I finished it in 4 days even though it won’t let me put that below. What do they have to do with the mysterious and sudden death of a black teenage girl? When I first reread it inI thought the bias was over-the-top extreme. Then I read Gosnell in Throughout the entire book you follow the story of a TV anchorman, a reporter, a rebel son, and families and friends dealing with death s. I’m not sure I’d go that far. John Barrett, Junior, finds himself in a web of lies and manipulations, struggling to distinguish between reality and unreality, and wondering who he really is.
Peretti wasn’t first to point this out; that honor belongs most famously to Edward Murrow of “Good Night, and Good Luck” fameone of the twentieth century’s most respected journalists and a pioneer in the field of TV news.
The book also includes a great deal of repetition. In some instances, it strengthens the sense of futility or of being caught in a giant machine, as if life is a treadmill where the scenery never changes even as our existence screams along at a break-neck pace.
In Prophet, Peretti hits the mark with his development of relationships. Deals with some other interesting issues: Looking for beautiful books? In spite of sudden fame and notoriety, Frank still lives a simple, well-rounded life that includes carpentry, banjo making, sculpturing, bicycling and hiking.
