I’m thinking if I got a Diamond CP6 instead of my army big stick would it be a good solution, and would I still be ok to use it on 11 meters? I don’t. Jeez, sounds like they’re made from junk. It will out perform dipoles when it comes to long distance contacts and even compare favourably with beams located 10m or more above ground. Now you have a damb good antenna which does not need a ground and is suited to restricted spaces.
At first I thought it was great, seemed to work OK, but the only thing I had to compare it with was a piece of wire. I verified that the mild steel was attracted to magnets and therefore must have contained iron. This a basically an end fed vertical with an impedance matching transformer to allow high impedance match to 50ohm coax. Found broken connection on bottom of 10m coil and bottom of 15m coil at earthing point. Concept of antenna is great and trapped radial elements are useful when used in areas where real estate is limited.
I would recommend the CP-6 and would buy it again if I ever needed a replacement. Julian Thursday, September 30, at 9: The antenna is very easy to assemble and dixmond. Best antenna I have ever used and costs peanuts. By the way years ago I experimented with attic antennas diaomnd well. Can’t wait to get it back up.
Although the Moonraker doesn’t seem to get good reviews, it is a lot better than diamons CP6, signals well up, and hugely quieter regarding background noise mainly local domestic The CP6 is sold in the UK as a quality antenna, at a high price.
I like attic antennas because you don’t have that problem.

One side wise If Diamond had put 4 rivits at 90 deg spacing, no issue. Ik heb ook een tijdje gedacht om hem aan te schaffen, maar ik vond de berichten op internet tegenvallen.
